Experts say traditional school fitness programs are not enough to keep our children from becoming overweight. For the most part they emphasise low intensity aerobic programs but fail to focus on strength training to stay in shape.
Strength training is like an "exercise concentrate" - you get a lot of benefit in a small amount of time exercising. Every orthopaedic and paediatric association in the world recommends that children should perform a safe supervised strength training program.
